I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Marcos De Souza of Detail
Painting and Home Improvement.
Meadgate, Inc. is a condominium in downtown Greenwich with fourteen three-story
townhouses in three separate buildings. Detail Painting recently completed a several-
week repainting of all buildings, beginning with gutter cleaning, power washing of all
surfaces, including brick walls and concrete walkways, sanding and preparation of all
painted surfaces and extensive carpentry repairs. Their preparation work was thorough
and detailed. Following carpentry repairs, executed by Marcos himself, his team
efficiently moved to two coats of painting of each building in turn. Their work was neat,
careful and the results excellent. Finally they prepared all doors, front and back, and in
one day painted each with two coats as the doors remained open. The last task was to
reapply the brass door letters.
Marcos and his team were reliable, quiet, polite and very accommodating to all the
concerns that arose in the course of handling the needs of a community of fourteen
households. They arrived on time, worked unstintingly all day and cleaned up perfectly
at the end of each day. We could not have asked for a smoother process or better
outcome.
I should add that several homeowners, including myself, have used Marcos De Souza
for interior painting, including in some cases, the addition of crown molding and
carpentry repairs, and all have been very pleased with his work and that of his team.
